Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from, and what do you do?

Hi! My name is Kseniia, I’m originally from Russia and now living in San Antonio, Texas. I’m a new mom to a beautiful baby girl, a digital marketing student at UTSA, and I run a photography and content creation business called Spark with K. I specialize in aesthetic storytelling, branding, and wellness-inspired visuals — especially for women entrepreneurs.

2. What inspired you to start your journey—personally or professionally?

After becoming a mom, I felt a deep need to reconnect with myself creatively. I’ve always been drawn to aesthetics and visual storytelling, but motherhood gave me a new purpose — to help other women feel seen, empowered, and confident. That’s what pushed me to take my passion for photography, content, and digital marketing more seriously and build a business around it.

3. What challenges have you faced, and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge has been balancing everything: being a full-time mom, a student, and a business owner. I’ve had to learn how to manage my time, energy, and expectations. There were days when I felt like giving up, but I reminded myself why I started — and that I’m building not just a career, but a life I love. I’m still learning, and that’s okay.

4. What does wellness mean to you?

Wellness, for me, means alignment. It’s not just about movement or food — it’s about how I feel emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. A slow morning with tea, a short walk in nature, journaling, or a few minutes of stretching while my baby naps — those small rituals bring me peace and clarity.

5. How do you balance life, work, and taking care of yourself?

I’ve learned to work with my season of life, not against it. I plan my creative tasks around my baby’s schedule, set boundaries with screen time, and try to stay present — whether I’m working or spending time with family. I also stopped trying to be perfect. Done is better than perfect. Rest is productive, too.

6. What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

Even though I work in content and branding, I’m actually very introverted. I love solitude, deep conversations, and quiet spaces. Most of my ideas come when I’m walking in nature, cleaning, or daydreaming with music in the background.

7. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to other women chasing their dreams or healing their bodies?

Start before you feel ready. Confidence comes from action, not the other way around. And most importantly, be gentle with yourself. You don’t need to rush or prove anything — you just need to show up for yourself every day, even if it’s in small ways.

8. Do you have a favorite place, product, or local business you love and want to shout out?

Yes! I love working with local beauty and wellness professionals in San Antonio — facialists, lash artists, Pilates instructors. I’m especially inspired by women who’ve turned their passion into a purpose-driven business. Also — lavender essential oil is my current obsession!

9. What are you currently working on or excited about?

I’m helping develop Bella Body Magazine with Anna, and it’s such a beautiful project to be a part of. I’ve been working on the website design, creating content, and shaping the digital experience. It’s been an amazing way to practice my web development skills and grow my creative portfolio while working with a powerful brand that aligns with my values.

10. Where can readers find or follow you?

You can find my photography and creative work at @spark_with_k on Instagram or visit my website: www.sparkwithk.com I’d love to connect and collaborate with other creatives, moms, or business owners who believe in intentional beauty and soulful storytelling.
